it’s a doughy substance made (i think) with xanthan gum. It’s edible, but you don’t usually eat it which is why they put a layer of frosting or jam underneath so you can just slide the fondant off and slice it.

She sounds a little out of breath while she’s talking

Why does she need Marzipan and Fondant?

O know it sounds stupid but the woman in this video seemed kind of, like shy before she started then when she started making the cake she seemed lke she had a real passion for it
Thank-You x

Its a fruit cake thats why it looks black and hard. Fruit cakes usually have a rubbery layer on the outside

Sorry, i’m creeped out :(
A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids’ room, the father said,”Take the kids and get out of the house. We’ll call the police, we don’t have a clown statue.” The “clown statue” is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don’t post this letter on to? 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand

I think everyone eats the cake also, but if its bad, just grab another glass of champagne. Nothing worse than seeing a bunch of not eaten plates of cake though. Great video, I wish there was more detail, it was quickly mentioned sugar and water at one point? Ill have to watch again.

Are you kidding? My wedding cake was chocolate mud cake and it all got eaten.

It gives a smooth finish to the icing. If you don’t like marzipan, you can always use two layers of roll out icing.

why do you need marzipan and then roll out icing????

iluvdance6594:try using delia Smiths rich fruit cake recipe. My son has asked me t make histhee tiered weddin cake- my 1st! and this cake has proved a success, take your time and pop a tray of water in the bottom of the oven while you cook it too. (keeps it moist) I can’t wait to ice it.. I’m going o ice it the way shown here, nowI have seen how it’s done. Good luck with the next cake
