I’m thinking of to become an interior decorator but I don’t think the in my home town offers that course. I will not move away to go to school so can I take the classes online? I could look it up but I thought i’d ask you first. What online schools are good for that? I have such a job that I could do my schooling while i’m at work so an online school might be perfect for me anyway.

The answer to your question is “Yes.”

However, you are asking the wrong question. The questin that you should be asking is “Will I be able to get a good job as a designer if I learn interior decorating online?” The answer to that question is “Probably not.”

Go to a real school.

How to become an Interior Designer :
Overview
Your sense of flair and style will serve you well when you become an interior designer. It’s possible to become a well paid decorator in a short time.

When you become an interior decorator, you will have expert knowledge and experience in combining fabrics and colors to capture your style and attitude. The best way to become an interior decorator is to complete a four year degree program at a local university or online institution. Many interior design firms also prefer some on the job training with a more advanced decorator before giving you your own client list.

For the interior designer serving a high profile client, earnings are very competitive. Often, if you do a good job for one client, it is possible to receive recommendations and referrals for more business. To get to the top of the fashion design ladder, you need to spend some time in the trenches. The more experience you get under your belt, the faster you will become an established and well paid fashion designer.
